Flowers from Hong Kong

24 October 2011 Monday, Day 12

The doctors were talking about transferring me to Launceston for rehabilitation so that I could be closer to home. That was good news but I did not want to leave Grace alone in Hobart.

Flowers from my family came. I was very touched. My husband had been busy these days to coordinate visits and flowers from family and friends as he did not want them to come all on the same day.

One of my sisiters in Hong Kong called today. This was the first time I talked to my family member since the accident. She was relieved 釋懷 that I sounded like normal and was in good spirit. I think the decision not to let my family know right away is a good one. Having had more information about my status and progress and being able to talk to me over the phone saved them unnecessary anxiety 憂慮.

After multiple times of customisation, Grace found the discomfort wearing the brace more bearable.
