After Huanglong, we spent two days in Jiuzhaigou. We took the national park bus from Goukou and got off at Changhai, then walked all the way from Changhai to Nuorilang Falls. At Nuorilang Falls, we got on the bus and headed towards the Primeval Forest and from there we walked back to Nuorilang Falls and eventually to our hostel in the national park where we spent a night.

Albeit it rained from time to time, we enjoyed our walk in tranquility as we were the only tourists who chose to walk the long way.

The day before, we spent a night in the village outside the park.

I like the gates/doors of the shops in the village, which are full of character.

The weather was not very good throughout our two days of visit but the scenary was still impressive.

This is the kitchen of the Tibetan house where we stayed overnight in the park

On the second day, we left the village and started to walk back to the Goukou gate.

Tibetan prayer wheels

We took a detour to a deserted Tibetan village on the top of a hill near 扎如马道

On our way back to the main tourist track, we spotted a bright purple mushroom.

Yes. We think if we could have 3 days just walking in the park would have been nice - and with a better weather. With life back to normal now (which is good for the locals), it is not likely that we will visit Jiuzhaigou again. We shun the crowd. Do you come from Aba?

Thanks. The best part of our visit to Sichuan was in Songpan. More photos coming.

Love your photo.
I believe I've taken photos at the exact same spot about 10 years ago. :p
It's funny to see those underwater tree trunks haven't been moved an inch.
Looking forward to your photos.
